Great Decisions is America's largest discussion program on world affairs. The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book, watching the DVD and meeting expert speakers in a Discussion Group to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today. Each year, eight topics are chosen by Foreign Policy Association's panel of experts.
The 2016 topics include:
- Middle East Alliances
- The Rise of ISIS
- The Future of Kurdistan
- Migration
- The Koreas
- The United Nations
- Climate Change
- Cuba and the U.S.
In partnership with the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg, this year's discussions will meet every other Monday afternoon at 1:00pm (2/1, 2/15, 2/29, 3/14, 3/28, 4/11, 4/25, 5/9). Registration begins December 1. Cost: $10 per individual session or $40 covers all 8 sessions. Free for Associates of the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg.
