HASSINA SHERJAN, Afghan author and advocate for education for women and girls. Sherjan will speak to Associates of the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Administration Building of Dixon University Center, 2986 N. Second St., Harrisburg, PA 17110.

 

Sherjan is co-author of Toughing It Out in Afghanistan  and has publishe Op-eds in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, USA Today and more.


She is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aid Afghanistan for Education (www.aidafghanistanforeducation.org), Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Boumi Company (www.boumi.com ), an internationally recognized woman-owned home accessory business.
