ABOUT ABOUT

Join us for the discussion on shale energy revolution with former U.S. deputy assistant secretary of defense - James Clad.

Spurred by the shale energy revolution in the United States and a vast new thirst for energy in Asia, global energy trends are changing dramatically. James Clad, former U.S. deputy assistant secretary of defense, is an energy and foreign policy expert with over 35 years of experience. He will provide insight on the rapidly changing global energy landscape.

Specifically, he will address:

- What the shale energy revolution means for the United States.
- How unconventional oil and natural gas production, both here and abroad, poses an unprecedented challenge to OPEC and traditional energy suppliers.
- How China, India and other emerging nations that are driving energy consumption can no longer evade tough choices between fossil-fueled growth and environmental deterioration.
- And, what these trends tell us about the road ahead.
