Joe Hewitt, Vice President of the U.S. Institute of Peace, is keynote speaker for the 2022 International Peace Symposium from 10:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022 at Elizabethtown College.

Panelists include:

Ari Tolany, United States Program Manager, Center for Civilians in Conflict. Protecting civilians in war and conflict.

Dr. Can Bahadır Yüce, professor at Lebanon Valley College -- Turkey and the rise of authoritarian regimes.

Dr. Mireille Rebeiz, Dickinson College, author of “Gendering Civil War.” Impact of conflicts on women and children.

Dr. Mehdi Noorbaksh, expert on the Middle East, Iran, international relations, Harrisburg University.

2022 Summer Interns will be honored with Global Scholars Certificates.

And the annual Peacemaker in Our Midst Awards will be announced!
