Wazhma Frogh is a dynamic and passionate citizen of the world.  She is winner of the 2009 International Women of Courage Award.  Throughout her life, Ms. Frogh has fought for the rights of Afghan women.  A passionate advocate for education, tutored her landlord's children to get him to reduce their rent,  allowing her to her sisters to pay for school.  At age 17, she exposed poor living conditions and abuses of women in Afghan refugee camps in Pakistan while interning at a Pakistani newspaper. Ms. Frogh is co-founder and director of the Afghan Organization Research Institute for Women, Peace and Security.  She has also written for The Guardian Newspaper.
